I created the Madd Ox Foundation after we lost our son Maddox, on April 22, 2024. It was one of the worst days of my life. As someone who needs to do, to heal, I created the foundation to give his little life meaning. I felt strongly that there was a lack of care for families who experience this loss and knew there was work to be done.

      My son Malcolm was so excited when he learned we were going to have a little boy and he would have a brother. When we landed on a name, another M name, he joked “O Maddox like a mad ox.” It quickly became our little joke to call him the mad ox. As I was debating on names for the foundation it hit me, The Madd Ox. It’s a play on his name and something created by my son Malcolm who loved his brother so much before he even met him.

      We are all so devastated by this loss and feel his absence every day. Through the foundation we are finding healing and hope to bring healing to other families who have experienced this most unfortunate of losses. 

      This foundation is very near and dear to us and every aspect was created with love, community and purpose. My hope is to reach as many families as we can and show that here is light and there is healing.
